Questions people ask

I'm coming on my own. Will it be awkward?

Everyone arrives solo, so nobody is joining someone else's group. The getting-to-know-each-other part happens naturally, over walks, the fire and long meals rather than icebreakers.

Is it one big party?

No. No forced games, no loud music, no paper hats unless you want one. It's a slower, warmer kind of festive weekend: fires, food and good conversation.

Do I have to get in the lake?

No. Every activity is optional, very much including the cold dip. Bring warm layers and boots; the fires and the sauna do the rest.

When do I pay, and what if I need to cancel?

A £295 deposit reserves your place and the £585 balance is due six weeks before the weekend. If we can't offer you a place, your deposit comes back in full. If you can no longer come, tell us as soon as you can. We'll do our best to fill your place and refund what we can.

What happens afterwards

The weekend is the start of it, not the end.

  • The group chat stays open

Everyone keeps talking after Sunday lunch.

  • A reunion dinner

Within a month, same people, one long table.

  • First pick of the next one

And everyone from your weekend is in Your People on PLY.

October sold out, and the question I kept being asked was: when's the next one? A festive edition at the same beautiful place felt exactly right.
